Vermont Compost Facilities

The Vermont Compost Company has four graded windrow compost sites totaling 33 acres.

Sites in East Montpelier and North Hartland are situated on contract partner dairy farms that provide manure, excess to their appropriate cropping needs, for composting. Certification by the state Agency of Natural Resources allows addition of clean uncontaminated food residuals including yogurt, ice cream, beer, and kitchen refuse.

At our Main Street Farm site we have over ten thousand square feet of compost mixing, bagging and storage sheds.
